Advising & Enrollment

We look forward to meeting our new Consecutive and Concurrent teacher candidates during the weeks of May 2 and May 8, 2023! If you were not able to attend, we've recorded one of the sessions to give you an idea of how it went!

If you have not already done so, you will need to create a Passport York account. You can expect to spend approximately 2 hours with us. You will be enrolling in courses, meeting some of our staff and faculty and learning about the practicum and community placements for the coming academic year.

At your advising appointment you will be introduced to the Faculty of Education Student Services Academic Advisors who will be available to support you through the program.

The BEd program is 60 credits. In the first year of the BEd program, teacher candidates will enrol in 33 credits. In the second year teacher candidates will enrol in 27 credits.

Tuition

Course fees are set for each session and term by the York University Board of Governors, in accordance with current Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities guidelines. The intention is to provide greater cost certainty to students who decide to attend university.

This is the York University Faculty of Education Fees page for 2023-24, detailing amounts for tuition and supplementary fees. Please note: the page shows an amount for each credit, and you are completing 33 credits in your first year.
